Larry Joe Wallace, 84 of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026. He was born February 16, 1942 in Huntington to the late Jesse J. and Pauline (Linville) Wallace.

Larry graduated from Huntington East High School, class of 1961, and attended Huntington Business College. He married Elizabeth Ann Hollar on March 5, 1962. After 30 years of service, he retired from Special Metals of Huntington. He was a shop steward for the United Steelworkers of America Local 40 in Huntington, a member of the Quarter Century Club at Special Metals and a member of the Strike Zone bowling league.

Together, Larry and Elizabeth were longtime members of Beverly Hills United Methodist Church. He enjoyed flying model airplanes and helping his grandsons in Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby races. He loved researching his family genealogy and sharing his findings at family reunions. One of his favorite past times was working in his antiques booth at the Proctorville Flea Market.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Lee Miller of Lincoln County, WV; sister, Gloria Ann Miller of Bradenton, FL; niece, Natalie Callahan; great niece, Nicolette Arecco and great nephew, Kyle Lovell. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Ann Wallace of Huntington; daughter, Sara Elizabeth (Robert) Marriott of Huntington; grandchildren, Robert James Marriott and John Henderson Marriott, both of Huntington; brothers-in-law, Robert H. (Linda) Hollar of Huntington and Richard Miller of Bradenton, FL; nieces, Nannette (Mark) Cobb, Nancy (David) Esculano and Nena (Kevin) Patton.

A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026 at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Dustin McCune officiating. Visitation will be held beforehand from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Following the services, Interment will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or to Hospice of Huntington. Please leave an online condolence for Larry’s family on his guestbook.
