Larry Eugene Thacker Sr.

Larry Eugene Thacker Sr., 74 of Huntington, WV passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the Emogene Dolin Hospice House. He was born August 19, 1945 in Huntington, WV, the son of the late Charles W. and Margie Burge Thacker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Hightower and Peggy Barber and a brother, Charles "Junior" W. Thacker Jr. He was the  former owner and operator of Thacker Contract Trucking. He is survived by a daughter, Virginia "Jenny" Alma Bowden of Linden, NC; two sons, Robert "Bobby" Marshall Elden Thacker and wife, Brandi of Forest, Virginia and Larry E. Thacker Jr. and wife, Mary Lynne of Huntington; grandchildren, Taylor (Brittany) Fleury of Bow, New Hampshire; Colton Thacker of Forest, VA; Samantha (Chris) Thomas, Schauna (Josh) Chambers and Seth (Maria) Thacker all of Huntington; great grandchildren, Wailyn Fleury, Aubrey and Christopher Thomas, Logan and Lucas Chambers and Rylie Thacker; brother, Gary (Sandy) Thacker of Huntington, WV; sister, Alma (Carl) Altrip of Huntington, WV and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Cabell Huntington Hospital, St. Mary's Medical Center, Hospice of Huntington and to their special friends, Larry and Mary Ball and Cara Casey. Services for Larry will be private.
