June M. Burris

June M. Burris, 82, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation.  Funeral service will be conducted 1 PM, Monday, December 15, 2008 at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Melissa Pratt and Minister John Holland officiating.  Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.  She was born July 28, 1926 in Wayne Co., WV a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Rutherford Medley.  She was also preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Janet L. Roberts; four brothers, Robert, John, Sherill, and Sherman Medley; sister, Geneiveve Parsons.  She is survived by her husband, Edwin E. Burris; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia S. and Fred Smith of Teays Valley; son, Gregory Steven Burris of Huntington; sister, Betty Maynard of Ft. Worth, TX.  A special thanks to the staff of Huntington Health and Rehabilitation, especially the 4th floor unit.  Visitation will be from NOON to 1 PM, prior to the service on Monday.  The family requests donations be made to Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Huntington.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.beardmortuary.com.
