John David Mccarthy

John David "Jack" McCarthy, 76 of Huntington, WV died Wednesday March 9, 2011 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born May 24, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio a son of the fate Michael John and Margaret Lucille Radcliffe McCarthy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Renee McCarthy and a brother William M. "Bill" McCarthy. He was a graduate of The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC where he received his Masters Degree. He retired in 1996 from the International School of Brussels, Belgium with 30 years of service as a professor and also served as Athletic Director. Following his retirement he and his wife, Renee moved to Huntington. He had volunteered for Cabell Huntington Hospital for the past ten years. He is survived by a son, Brian A. McCarthy of Belgium; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael J. "Mike" and Janet McCarthy of Huntington and three nieces. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
