Jessie Amber Smith

Jessie Amber Smith 87 of Huntington, WV passed away on Tuesday April 29, 2008 at Hospice House of Huntington. Services will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM at Woodmere Memorial Park Abbey of Remembrance with Rev. Jim Chenoweth officiating. Burial will follow.  She was born November 29, 1930 in Sistersville, WV a daughter of the late Clyde and Peggy Huffman. Jessie traveled abroad for many years.  Diring her travels, she enjoyed shopping and sightseeing other countries and because of her love of traveling was nicknamed "Gypsy Lady". She was a member Highlawn United Methodist Church.  She is survived by her husband, William Howard Smith; a loving son and daughter-in-law Clyde and Vivian Smith of Huntington; a sister, Ruth McCallister of Huntington; two nieces, Janet (Tony) Culp of Huntington and Vicki Salazar of Florida; three nephews, Richard (Robin) Smith of Huntington; Danny Paul Smith of Dallas, TX and Lee McCallister of Texas. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Beard Mortuary.
