Jerry Lee Thompson, 62, of Kenova, WV, husband of Sharon Thompson, passed away on Monday January 6, 2009 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was a former foreman with CSX in Jacksonville, FL and a co-owner of TBS Auction in Kenova. He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Clara May Thompson, three brothers, Russell, Lonnie, and Marvin Thompson. In addition to his wife, Mr. Thompson is survived by two sons; John Thompson and Jerry (Jamie) Thompson Jr. of Tampa, FL., one stepson; David (Tammy) Barnett of Fort Gay, WV., one sister; Arlene Mathis of Kenova, WV, five grandchildren; Aubrey, Journey, and Abby Thompson of Tampa, FL., and Logan, and Brenna Barnett of Fort Gay, WV., two nieces; Georgeanne Bias and Jonnie Dee Hatten, and two very special friends; Dewey Harmon and Jerry Allen Stewart. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 11:00 am the Central Freewill Baptist Church, 6th Avenue and Fifth Street in Huntington, WV with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington, WV. Friends may call on Thursday, January 8, 2008 from 6 – 8 pm at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, WV.
