JEFFREY DALE HUGHES (MONDO), 56, of Lavalette, WV, loving husband of Diana Hughes, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church with Pastors David Lemming and Tim Yates officiating. Beard Mortuary is assisting the family. Jeffrey was born on February 12, 1959 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late George and Naomi Hughes. In addition to his wife he is survived by step-daughter, Angela (Troy) Maddox; step-son, Michael (Terra) Maddox; three grandchildren, Austin, Brianna and Taylor; father and mother-in-law who loved him as if he was their own son, Albert and Jean Terry; uncle, Danny (Edith) Ross; his two dogs, Lexilea and Gunny who thought they had to go anywhere he went; special friends Jahala, Barbara, Ruth Ann, Katie and Shirley, and so many more it would be impossible to list them all. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of St. Mary's and a special family who cradled him in their arms with love and made him a part of their family during his last week here on earth, Rob and Debbie Jones and their children Seth, Caleb and Aaryn. Visitation will be held at Lewis Memorial on Tuesday evening from 5 PM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Lewis memorial Multi-Media Department in Jeffrey's honor.
