Jeffrey Norman Adkins

Jeffrey Norman Adkins, 56, of Huntington passed away Friday, September 19, 2008 in Cabell-Huntington Hospital.  Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Andrew Magnusson officiating.  Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.  He was born February 11, 1952 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Norman E. Adkins and Julia Dabney Adkins of Huntington.  Jeff was formerly associated with Adkins Transfer, and currently worked for Asplundh in the railroad division.  He had attended Marshall University.  In addition to his mother he is also survived by wife, Brenda Adkins; his sisters, Susan and David Smith of Baltimore, MD and Jill and Rick Jenkins of Atlanta, GA; brother, Greg Adkins of Huntington.  Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM, Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Beard Mortuary.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society, 611 7th Avenue, Huntington, WV 25701.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.beardmortuary.com.
