Jason David Cash

JASON DAVID CASH, 39 of Columbus, Mississippi, formerly of Huntington, died at his home on Friday, December 12, 2008. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, at Beard Mortuary in Huntington. He was the son of Shirley Cash of Huntington and Ashby Leach of Fort Gay, W.Va. He graduated from Huntington East High School in 1988 and entered the Navy shortly thereafter. He served a four-year tour of enlistment, including service on the USS Long Beach, the USS NIMITZ and a tour of duty in the Gulf War. He was discharged in 1992 and was working on the Columbus Airforce Base. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Douglas Cash. He is survived by a brother, Robert Andrew Cash of Chestertown, Md.; and six sisters, Sheila Cash of Northern Va., Janet Kelly of Kenova, Beth Sartin, Amber Leach, Bobbi Leach of Fort Gay and Ashley Nelson of Chesapeake, Ohio. At his request, his body will be cremated and honored with a private ceremony at a later date.
