Jane Ann (Clatworthy) Fletcher

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jane A. Fletcher, age 88, of Huntington, WV, on April 30th, 2025 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Jane was born in Kathryn, WV, and was the cherished daughter of John William Clatworthy and Clorie Alice Martin Clatworthy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Fletcher Jr., of whom she was married 32 years. She was also preceded in death by seven siblings, Jessie Martin, Dorothy Phillips, Daniel Clatworthy, Margaret Clatworthy, Patricia Clatworthy, Alice Adkins, and Allen Clatworthy. Jane was a devoted wife, a loving mother to Matthew and Stacey, and a proud grandmother to her three wonderful grandchildren.

A lifelong resident of Huntington, Jane graduated from Mount Hope High School in Fayette County, WV, and found her career working as a secretary at Young Insurance Agency for over 20 years. She was also a member of Walnut Hills Baptist Church.

Jane is survived by her children, Matthew Fletcher (Heather) and Stacey Fletcher; her treasured grandchildren, Sydney and Ty Fletcher, and Reece Hughes; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.

We invite all who knew and loved Jane to join us at a funeral service to reminisce and honor her beautiful life on May 6th at Beard Mortuary. Guests are welcome to visit from 11 AM to 12 PM, with the service at noon, where stories and memories of a life well-lived will be shared.
