James Thomas Roberts, Sr.

James Thomas Roberts, Sr. 89, of Huntington, WV passed away Monday, November 14, 2022 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV.  Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2022 at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Andy Magnusson officiating.  Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.  He was born January 20, 1933 at Kenova, WV, a son of the late Narcissis and Eileen Toler Roberts.  James retired in 1998 from the U.S. Postal Service where he worked as a clerk.  He was a member of Baptist Temple Church in Huntington.  In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his loving wife, Beverly Jean Williams Roberts, and two brothers, Narcissis Roberts, Jr. and Richard Roberts.  Survivors include two daughters, Deena Eldridge and husband Vernon Jr. of McConnellsville, OH and Kimberly Nisky and husband Paul of Huntington; two sons, J.T. Roberts and Mitch Roberts, both of Huntington; seven grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Lou.  Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Friday at Beard Mortuary.
