James E. Legg

James E. Legg, 91 of Lithonia, GA formerly of Huntington, WV, died Sunday September 28, 2008. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Fred Ramey officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens with military graveside rites by VFW Post 9738 Honor Guard. He was born March 19, 1917 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Ernest B. and Lula Holley Legg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Hilda White and four brothers, Charles, Alfred, Lee and Albert Legg. He was retired from the US Army with 30 years of service. He served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Marta B. Legg, two sisters, Maxine Ashe of Sarasota, FL and Clarice Doss of Huntington; a brother, Bernard Legg of Huntington and several nieces and nephews.
