James P. "Jimmy" Bumgarner, 44, of Huntington, passed away Monday, January 4, 2010 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Huntington. He was born June 30, 1965 in Hampton, VA, a son of Darrell K. and Linda C. Rose Bumgarner of Huntington. He is also survived by one son, Joshua P. Bumgarner and Joshua's mother, Cindy Bumgarner of Huntington; one brother, Darrell K. Bumgarner, Jr. of Huntington and a host of family and friends. Jimmy was a veteran of the US Army and was employed at the 6th Ave. Speedway in Huntington, where he was known for his polite demeanor and his ability to bring a smile to someone's face with only a few words.
