Herman Ray Burcham

HERMAN RAY BURCHAM, 87 of Huntington, WV, died Monday August 8, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 12:00 noon at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Richard Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Teays Valley, WV. He was born March 31, 1924 in Scottown, OH a son of the late Curtis and Frances Dillon Burcham. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Lucille Hosey Burcham, five sisters, Sylvia Burcham, Wilma Tagg, Margaret Winegar, Louise Chisam and Darlene Fraley and three brothers, William "Bill" Burcham, Bernard Burcham and Freddie Burcham. Mr. Burcham was a veteran of the U.S. Army, proudly serving his country during WWII. He was retired from Appalachian Power Company, previously worked at Dutch Miller Chevrolet, Roger Dean Chevrolet and Harriston Chevrolet. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lillian and Mike Chaffin and a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Kim Burcham all of Huntington. The family would like to express a special thank you to his loving sister, Carol Finley and also to his caregiver, Brenda Bocook, his physician, Dr. Cynthia Pinson and to Hospice of Huntington.
