Hazel Garnet Miller

Hazel Garnet Miller, 88, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at her residence.  Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington with Pastor T.D. Mills officiating.  Burial will follow in Arthur Cemetery, Ona.  She was born August 23, 1919 on Mason County, WV, a daughter of the late Ottie and Hilda Wray.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Morrison Miller; four sons, Paul, Steve, Danny and Mike; three daughters, Lilly Ross, Ella McConnell and Barbara Blevins; and five brothers, Raymond, Charles, Leonard, Albert and Lawrence.  She is survived by five sons and three daughters-in-law, Bill and Carolyn Miller, Jack Miller, Freddie and Margaret Miller, Melvin Miller and Gary and Angie Miller, all of Huntington; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Lula White, Margie and Russell Powers, Tammy and Dave Hapney, all of Huntington, Jane and Arthur Brown and Sue and Dennis Higelmire, all of Michigan; two brothers, John and Curtis; two sisters, Mary and Virgie; special granddaughter whom she raised, Jamie Hicks; special friend, Trish Cleveland "Chris" and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
