HAZEL LOUISE LEMONS, 87, of Huntington passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at her residence. She was born on December 29, 1923 in Sinks Grove, WV, a daughter of the late Homer and Lossie Rhodes Lemons. She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Lemons Crabtree. She is survived by a niece, Diane Mothersbaugh of Huntington; a nephew, Frank Crabtree of Charleston; two great- nieces, Rebecca Dusic and family of Charleston and Rachel Leon and family of Fairmont; a great-nephew, James Crabtree and family of St. Louis, MO; and first cousins Kathleen Nelson and Homer Rhodes both of Huntington. Hazel was a member of Highlawn Presbyterian Church, a Registered Nurse and an officer of the U.S. Army where she served in the Nurse Corps. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Richard Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Sinks Grove. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service on Wednesday.
