Beloved father, grandfather, and husband, Granville H. "Doc" Spurlock, 80, of Proctorville, OH, formerly of Lesage went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 16, 2007 due to complications from a car accident. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM, Sunday, August 19, 2007 at Pentecostal Truth Ministries Church, Huntington with Pastor Janet Mounts officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. He was born October 14, 1926 in Glenwood, WV a son of the late Albert, Sr. and Lillie Spurlock. He was also preceded in death by six brothers, Elwood, Azel, Clifford, Albert, Jr., Lanier and Lansing. He was a member of the Pentecostal Truth Ministries. He was also a member of the Carpenters Union, Local 302, Huntington, WV. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda Faye Spurlock; three daughters, Judy Curry of Huntington, Jennifer "Janie" and Johnny Blevins of Lesage, and Melissa and Ronnie Arthur of Proctorville, OH; seven grandchildren, Tracey and Chuck King, Michele and Assen Popoff, Sara Blevins, Lorna Blevins, David Arthur, Jonathan Arthur, and Maddie Arthur; three great grandchildren, Meghann Roach, Nik Popoff, and Matthew King; a host of friends and church family who will miss him dearly. Visitation will be 5 to 9 PM, Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Pentecostal Truth Ministries. Beard Mortuary is assisting the family.
