Grant Elmo Poston

Grant Elmo Poston, 86, of Huntington, WV, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends after 11:00 a.m. He was born on September 21, 1931 in Huntington, the son of the late Cecil Poston, Sr. and Flossie Holley Poston. Grant served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Aldean Barcus, Goldie May Woodland, Ruth Madeline Toms, Dorothy Virginia Poston, Charlotte Poston, Cecil Poston, Jr., Victor Mason Poston and Densel Lee Poston. Grant is survived by his sisters, Shirley Lewis of Ona, WV, Wanda Lee Poston of Ranger, WV, and Sharon Kay Wilson of Columbus, OH; brothers, Wilford Earl Poston of Hawaii, Kenneth Poston of Huntington, David Rondell of Huntington; two girls and a boy he loved and raised much like his own children, Betty and Debbie of Atlantic City, NJ, and Ricky Silbert, and a very special friend, Jean Rider of Huntington.
