Gisela Ruth Alm

Gisela R. Alm, 90, of Huntington, WV died March 4, 2020, in the comfort of her home. She lived a full and adventurous life, born October 12, 1929 in Erfurt, Thuringia, Germany to the late Elfriede Kruppa Roth and Paul E. Kruppa. She is survived by her three daughters, one son-in-law, three grandchildren,  six great-grandchildren, and many friends and cousins back home in Germany. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. Alm, 74, on November 25, 2000; as well as her two sons-in-law David Meador and Stephen Beveridge. Gisela found great joy in keeping up with the events of the world, feeding large numbers of stray cats, following the various adventures of her children & grandchildren, and holding as many great-grandbabies as possible. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends: namely her daughters Susan Krieps, Karin Beveridge, and Vickie Meador, of West Virginia; her son-in-law David Krieps; her grandchildren Kristina Kessler, Alex Beveridge, and Zach Meador; her niece and son Diane & Nick Pethel; her great-grandchildren Henry Beveridge, & Owen, Sofia, Blake, Norah, and Kate Kessler. Gisela also remained fluent in German and kept in touch with her cousins back home in Heidelberg Germany, Renate Tsochantaridis & Irmchen Steiner.
