George Robert Trumbo

George Robert "Bob" Trumbo Jr., 88, of Huntington passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the VA Medical Center in Huntington. He was born on August 14, 1921 a son of the late George Sr. and Lydia Hayes Trumbo. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Carico Trumbo; one son, William Mark Trumbo and his wife Vickie of Huntington; one sister, Kay Stanley of Huntington; two grandsons, Stephen Mark and Michael Andrew Trumbo of Huntington; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, James Robert Trumbo; one brother, Bill Trumbo; and two sisters, Lois Wilisch and Georgia Trumbo. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of VFW Post 9738, Crossroads Baptist Church, and the Cabell-Wayne Association for the Blind. Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington with pastor Jack Mayes officiating. Beard Mortuary is assisting the family.
