George Franklin Mccollins

George Franklin McCollins, 92 of Proctorville (formerly of Huntington), passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025. He was born September 22, 1932 in Huntington to the late George Ray and Florence (Cline) McCollins.

George was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from INCO after many years working as a crane operator. He, and his wife Peggy, were members of Guyandotte Church of Christ, where they were very active in serving.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy McCollins; stepchildren, George Edward Groves, II and Georgina Gunnell, and son-in-law, Andrew Robinson. George is survived by his children, Susan Robinson, George Michael "Mike" McCollins and Scott McCollins; stepson, Greg Groves and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 12-1 PM on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, with a Funeral Service to follow at 1 PM, both at Beard Mortuary. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens after the Funeral. Please leave an online condolence for George's family on his tribute wall.
