Geneva Chapman, 83, of Huntington passed away Thursday, September 25, 2008 in Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. She was born March 30, 1925, a daughter of the late Hiram and Lilly Mae Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Chapman; two brothers, Morris and Elmer Johnson; four sisters, Eliza Deal, Frankie McComas, Bonnie McComas and Lillian Mayes. Mrs. Chapman was retired from the Huntington Hospital and Rubberlite. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Quilla and Homer Brumfield of Milton; one son, Eugene "Shorty" Chapman of Huntington; two grandchildren, Pamala Dorey of Myrtle Beach, SC and Kamala Driggers of Kennasaw, GA; three great grandchildren, April Burky, Trevor Dorey and Chelsey Cotton; and two great-great grandchildren, Makayla and Brycen.
