Gary L. Webb Jr.

Gary L. Webb Jr. of Mount Vernon, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on April 26, 2023 at the age of 37 at the Knox Community Hospital. He was born on July 12, 1985 at the University of Richman Hospital in Virginia to parents, Gary L. Webb Sr and Vayna Abbott Smallwood.

Gary is survived by his father, Gary L. Webb Sr. (Paula Webb) and mother, Vayna Smallwood; 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 3 step-brothers and 1 step-sister. Also survived by his grandmothers, Phyllis Webb and Ella Weekly. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Linville A. Webb and Raymond Weekly.

Gary was formerly of Milton, West Virginia and graduated from Cabell Midland High School in Ona, West Virginia. Gary was known for his ambition. He never gave up and always kept trying with any of life's challenges. He enjoyed art, creating sculptures and crafting. Over the years he worked as a cashier at Staples but really enjoyed working as a cashier at Goodwill in Mount Vernon.

A graveside celebration of life will take place on May 18, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Ronald Long officiating at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, 5547 West Pea Ridge Rd., Huntington, WV 25705. If you wish, flowers can be sent in his name to Beard Mortuary, 3001 3rd Ave., Huntington, WV 25702.
