GARY RONALD LAFFERTY, 72, of Huntington passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010 at St. Mary's medical Center. He was born on May 9, 1938 in Cabell County. He was preceded in death by his father, George Lafferty and one grandson, Matthew Wade Kirk. He is survived by his mother, Juanita Foster of Huntington; three sons, Brett Lafferty of Valrico, FL, Ronnie (Stephanie) Lafferty of Starke, FL, and Timothy (Jackie) Noel of Jacksonville, FL; two daughters, Sherry (Rick) Ball of Cross Lanes and Teresa (John) Kartheiser of Lexington, KY; four brothers, David (Helen) Lafferty of Huntington, Larry Lafferty of Jacksonville, FL, John (Karen) Lafferty of Harrogate, TN, and Tommy Lafferty of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, Daniel Hanna, Rachael Atkins, Tiffany Wolf, and Abram Lafferty; four great-grandchildren, Jacob Hanna, Cameron Hanna, Madison Wolf and Noah Wolf; and former spouses, Judy Lafferty and Connie Lafferty. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army 101st Airborne, retired from Special Metals, and an avid fisherman and WVU fan. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Roger Worten officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington.
