Frances Clark

Frances "Granny" Clark, 85, of Huntington, widow of Joseph Clark, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. She was born on December 19, 1924 in Winterville, NC, a daughter to the late George and Virginia Averette. In addition to her husband and her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Phyllis Everette, and one brother, George Averette Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Bryant and her husband Wayne of Robersonville, NC; one son, Charles Wayne Manning and his wife Dianne of Huntington, WV; five grandchildren, Jacqueline Chevalier and her husband Paul of Huntington, WV, Jimmy Wayne Bryant and his wife Marty of Robersonville, NC, Todd Buck of Atlanta, GA, Heather Sawyers and her husband Gary of Wayne, WV, and Hollie Henry and her husband Marshall of Huntington, WV; and ten great-grandchildren. She was a former member of the Ayden Freewill Baptist Church in Winterville, NC and a member the Huntington First Church of the Nazarene. She was active in her church and in the Barboursville Senior Citizens.  Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, WV with Pastor Robert Weaver and Dallas Moore officiating. Friends may call of Saturday from 6 – 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Pinewood Memorial Park in Greenville, NC.
