Faye Smith

Faye Smith, 84, of Huntington passed away Friday, May 1, 2009 at Hospice House of Huntington.  Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington with the Rev. Bob Withers officiating.  Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.  She was born as Mary Faye Withers, February 12, 1925, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Clark and Belva Withers.  She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Don Smith and a great granddaughter, Kelsey Rebecca Kuhn.  Mr. and Mrs. Smith were the former owners of Huntington Motor Sales and Suzuki of Huntington.  Mrs. Smith was past president of the Democratic Women's Association of Huntington and she worked on the National Beautification Project with First Ladies, Ladybird Johnson and Roslyn Carter.  In later years, she was dedicated to her grandchildren and great grandchildren and looking forward to the birth of Anna Grace Isaacs.  She is survived by two daughters, Connie Kuhn and her husband, Michael of Huntington and Jeanette Dillon of Huntington; one sister, Mrs. Marjorie Walker of Scottsdale, AZ; four grandchildren, Michael Kuhn and his wife, Cathy of Barboursville, Marc Kuhn, Michael D. Dillon and his wife, Beth and Emilee Isaacs and her husband, Gilbert, all of Huntington; eight great grandchildren Kendall Kuhn, Haleigh Kuhn, Riley Kuhn, Taylor Kuhn, Nicolas Kuhn, Christopher Dillon, Ethan Gross and Mason Gross; and one nephew, Timothy Walker of London, England.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2009 at Beard Mortuary.  Online condolences may be sent at www.beardmortuary.com
