Evelyn Frances Arthur

Evelyn Frances Arthur, of Huntington, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2018 at the Hospice of Huntington. She was a daughter of the late Everett and Orpha Poynter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D. Arthur and niece, Judith Castleberry.  Evelyn worked for 30 years as a real estate agent until her retirement. She was a former member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary and in her free time she enjoyed square dancing, flowers, reading her many magazines and being surrounded by her pets. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (John J.) Jones of Huntington; sister, Dorothy (James) Castleberry of Proctorville, OH; grandson, Jonathan Brock Jones; nieces, Carolyn Turley, Lana Egnatoff and nephew, Keith Castleberry.  A Graveside Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Huntington, with Rev. Phillip Warren, officiating. The family would like to thank the staff at the Hospice House of Huntington for their tender loving care in her final days.
