Ernestine Mary Macknight

ERNESTINE MARY MACKNIGHT, 89, of Miamisburg, OH, formerly of Huntington, widow of George A. MacKnight, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Sycamore Glen Health Center in Miamisburg. She was born on May 16, 1923 in Hartford, WV, a daughter of the late Earl and Peramelia Roush Hoffman. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Angel and two sisters, Edna Hoffman and Elizabeth Grinstead. She is survived by a son, George W. (Donna) MacKnight of Germantown, OH; grandchildren, Heather (John) Florio, George (Sara) MacKnight II, and Matthew (Jennie) MacKnight; great-grandchildren, Emily, Carl, Julianne, Mackenzie and Sophia. Mrs. Macknight was a member of the Guyandotte United Methodist Church and ran the Huntington East End Food Pantry for many years. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Rex Young officiating. Burial will follow at Graham Station Cemetery, New Haven, WV. Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.
