Erma Lee Berry

Erma Lee Berry, 85 of Huntington, WV died Thursday September 1, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House after a prolonged illness. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary with Rev. William DeMoss officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born July 18, 1926 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Edward Leo and Anna Childers Sowards. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil R. Berry, a sister and brother-in-law, Wanda Sowards Johnson and Robert, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jess and Hattie Berry and a brother-in-law, Lester Berry. Erma is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Iris and William Crum; a brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Kay Sowards, three nieces, Dana Diane Varney, Jeanne Ann Wray and Jennifer Lee (Jeff) Parsons, a great-niece, Kelly Monay (Shawn) Stowers, a nephew, Mitchell Sowards, and three great-nephews, Donald William (Laura) Wray, Tyler Parsons and Sean Parsons and two great-great nephews, Austin Lee and Wyatt Logan Wray. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary.
