Elsie May Kitchen

Elsie Mae Kitchen, 83, of Huntington rested this life Thursday, January 21, 2010. She was the widow of the late Martin V. Kitchen and was preceded in death by her nine siblings and only child, Deborah Lynn Kitchen. She is held in loving memory by two grandchildren, Deborah Michelle Jordan and Orville Martin Jordan, and one special great-grandchild, Lauren Taylor Jordan. Elsie was a faithful member of Apostolic Life cathedral for 58 years and was proud to be Pastored by Reverend E.S. Harper and her niece, Sharon Kitchen Harper, both of whom she loved dearly. She was also preceded in death by one stepchild, Dorothy Mills and is survived by 2 stepdaughters, Lora Wright and Barbara Martin; 2 step sons, Jack and Melvin Kitchen; many step grandchildren and a host of loved ones and friends. The family would like to thank her special friend, Nancy Beasley for always being there for Elsie, even up to the end. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Apostolic Life Cathedral in Huntington with Pastor E.S. Harper officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. A private committal service will be held on Monday at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington.
