Elaine Mull Harvey

Elaine Mull Harvey, 80 of Huntington, WV, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026 at the Woodlands Retirement Community in Huntington. She was born August 23, 1945 in Washington, D.C. to the late Orval Benton and Anna Laura (Herbert) Mull.

Elaine married William “Bill” Mitchell Harvey on December 26, 1964 in Silver Spring, MD. Together they were members of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. Elaine was the President of the Huntington Area Autism Society and joined the Board of Directors decades ago for the Autism Services Center, serving both as Secretary and Vice President. She also served on the Board of Directors for the National Autism Society and served as President of the WV Autism Society. Elaine was the Founder and Co-Chair of Rally for Autism (later renamed The Ruth Sullivan Rally for Autism) and was awarded the 2008 Zack Binkley Award for Community Service.

Elaine loved to snow ski and play golf. She was also a big lover of football - Ohio State Buckeyes (College) and Washington Commanders (NFL)

In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Benton “Ben” Herbert and Louise (Goodwin) Mull. She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Mitchell Harvey of Huntington; children, Donald Harvey of Huntington and Greg and his wife Laurie Harvey of Johnson City, TN, and granddaughters, Keegan Noelle and Bodie Reese Harvey, both of Johnson City, TN.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church (Main Sanctuary), 1358 West Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, WV 25705, with Visitation beforehand from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m..
