DORMAN BRISTOL SARGENT II, 63, of Huntington, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House. He was born on July 10, 1947 a son of the late Dorman Sargent and Gladys Cain Sargent, who survives. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Lynda Sargent Thompson. In addition to his mother he is survived by a son, Dorman (Karla) Sargent III of Huntington; daughters Margaret (Mathew) Applegate of Clearwater, FL and Elizabeth Sargent (Erik)-Tangen of West Allis, WI; sister, Drenda (Thomas) Lambert of Barboursville; grandchildren Austin and Lauren Sargent; step-grandchildren, Kristian, Amber and Lilly Tangen; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mr. Sargent was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW Post 9738. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thomas Memorial Freewill Baptist Church in Guyandotte with Pastor Caudle Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be held on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the Church.
