Donna Belle (Young) Glover

Donna Belle Glover, 98 of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Madison Park Healthcare in Huntington. She was born January 18, 1926 in Clendenin, W.Va. to John Mark and Mary Isabelle (Cart) Young.

Donna attended Bridge Elementary School and graduated from Clendenin High School before obtaining her degree at Marshall College (University). She was the wife of the late Edward A. Glover, Sr. Donna taught kindergarten at Beverly Hills United Methodist Church and retired from Anderson-Newcomb Co./Stone & Thomas.  She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was past President of the Pilot Club of Huntington where she was also past Chairman of their annual Antiques Show. Donna was an active member of Beverly Hills U.M.C., where she taught the John Wesley Sunday school class and played piano. She also played piano for the Madison Park Choir.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Opal Lynch, Herman T. Young, Gertrude Snyder, Ona Wilson Conner, Sally Young, Mary Alyce Daubenspeck, Mark Milton "Bud" Young, Elizabeth "Bette" Harris and Leah Jayne Day. She is survived by her children, Sarah Jane "Janie" (Bob) Nichols, Edward A. (Judy) Glover, Jr. and Charles W. "Bill" (Pamela) Glover, II; grandchildren, Michael Nichols, Melissa "Missy" Stowers, Bethany Crites, Emilie Cason, Edward Glover, III, Matthew Glover and Sarah Thevenin; great-grandchildren, Makayla Stowers, Reagan Crites, Theo Crites, Harper Nichols, Holden Nichols, Hudson Rice, Peyton Thevenin, Kate Cason, Brooklyn Cason and Camden Glover; several nieces and nephews; many, many wonderful friends, including the staff and residents at Madison Park Healthcare, special friends, Lt. Elijah Payne and Mary Pat Owen as well as her close neighborhood friends, Becky, Ralph, Martha and Marsha.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM, Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Beverly Hills U.M.C., followed by a Funeral Service at 1 PM, officiated by Rev. Suzanne Ellis. Burial will follow the services at Woodmere Memorial Park.
