Donna Kay Beard

DONNA KAY BEARD, 75, of Chesapeake, OH, wife of Charles Beard, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014. She was born on June 22, 1938 in Ironton, OH, a daughter of the late Vernon and Marie (Sark) Taylor. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Butch Hughes and a sister, Miriam Taylor. She was a retired school teacher having taught at Collins Career Center. She was a member of Community of Grace United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Joy Circle. She is survived by her children, Joe Hughes of Riverview, FL, Debbie Hughes of South Point, OH, step-children, Kathy (Roger) Potter of Lexington, KY, Steve Beard of Russell Springs, KY and Cyndee (Mark) Grindley of Brandon, FL; sister, Linda (Ron) Eicher of Columbus, OH; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a special caregiver, Teena. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 6:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Steve Hamrick officiating.
