Donald Leon Means

DONALD LEON MEANS, 80, of Huntington, widower of Marie (Myers) Means, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born on March 24, 1933 in Huntington, a son of the late Robert and Gladys (Tomlinson) Means. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a son, David Hopper. He is survived by his sons, Bruce (Alice) Combs and Tim (Angel) Howard; and grandchildren, Christina Combs, Derceria Howard and Tucker Howard. Mr. Means was a proud veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War and a retired manager for the Cabell-Wayne Association for the Blind. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at 9:00 am at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Ron Burnsworth officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 pm – 8pm at the mortuary.
