Della Ohnalene Cole

Della Ohnalene Cole, 83, formerly of Huntington, WV passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the Charles County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in LaPlata, Maryland. Her death was due to COPD following a bout with Pneumonia.She was the daughter of the late John L. and Yetta Saltsman Winton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest W. Cole, a business professor for many years until his retirement from Marshall University. After a hip replacement, Ohnalene moved to an assisted living facility in Maryland to be near her only daughter, Ruth. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Robin Ouellette of Upper Marlboro, MD, as well as her sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and Tom Colston of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Other surviving relatives include her nephew and his wife, John and Ann Colston and great nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2009 at 10:30 AM at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Donald Walker, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the New Baptist Church, Huntington, WV. New Baptist Church includes former members of the 20th Street Baptist Church, a body of believers she loved so much.
