David Michael Myers

David Michael Myers, 71, of Huntington, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Hospice House of Huntington. Born October 29, 1946 in Huntington, he was a son of Theodore Myers and Leila Mitchell Myers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diann Counts Myers and his maternal grandparents, Frank and Effie Mitchell. He is survived by his mother, Leila Mitchell Myers; brother, Daniel (Karen) Myers of Newtown, PA; aunt, Alfreda Mitchell of Huntington; children, Marilyn (Mark) Prince of Scott Depot, David (Teresa) Myers of Hurricane, Tina (Chris) Shingleton of Scott Depot, Toni Smith (Chris Colegrove) of Milton and Joe (Michele) Myers of Norwalk, OH; special cousin, Nancy Mitchell Hensley of Nevada; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. David was a graduate of W.V. Tech but a devoted Marshall University fan. He was former president of the Marshall University girls volley ball teams booster club. He retired from MRC Global of Charleston. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Beard Mortuary, with Rev. Bill DeMoss, officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington. The family will welcome friends one hour prior to services
