David Michael "Mike" Saxton

David Michael "Mike" Saxton, 55, of Huntington was released from a lifetime of illness to enter his Heavenly home on Thursday, July 12, 2007 in St. Mary's Medical Center.  Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Altizer Baptist Church with Rev. Cledith Campbell officiating .  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington.  He was born May 10, 1952 a son of  Violet Murphy Saxton and the late Willard Saxton.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Mark Saxton.  He is survived by his wife, Sandra Saxton; daughter, Sarah and Jason Workman of Huntington; granddaughter, Tessa Riley Workman; brother, Larry and Peggy Saxton of South Point, OH; two sisters, Pam and Sharrell Anderson of Huntington and Lena and Les Napier of Round-O, SC.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Mark Saxton.  Mike attended the Alitzer Baptist Church and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.  He enjoyed spending time woodworking, repairing and making clocks and restoring his 1963 Chevy.  Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 9 PM at Beard Mortuary.  Friends may also call one hour prior the service at the church on Saturday.  Online condolences may be sent at www.beardmortuary.com.
