Darleen (Smith) Cremeans

Darleen Cremeans, 74 of Huntington, WV, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025. She was born August 22, 1951 in San Antonio, TX to the late Earl and Margaret (Arnold) Smith.

Darleen married David L. Cremeans on November 20, 1971 in Huntington.

She began working at DHHR with her father in the late 1970's, where she worked for 32 years and was the supervisor for about 15 years.

Darleen loved animals, especially her beloved companion Daisy. She was an avid reader and loved going on vacations with her family, especially to the beach and zoos.

Darleen was a very loving, loyal and kind woman who was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother of Tearh, whom she cherished.

She is survived by her husband, David L. Cremeans; daughter, Katherine "Katie" E. Cremeans; granddaughter, Tearh E. Webb; brother, Mark W. (Cindy) Smith; sisters, Earleen (Paul) Akers and Sharleen Corns; a host of nieces and nephews including a "favorite" niece, Stephanie Richards, as well as her best friend, Lacora Ford.
