Dante James "Jim" Cometto, 83 of Huntington, WV passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Cornerstone Hospital of Huntington. Funeral services will be held on Monday December 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Chuck Lawrence officiating. Burial and Military Rites will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park. The family will receive friends after 10:00 a.m. He was born August 29, 1934 in Huntington, WV, the son of the late Dante Joseph and Beatrice Withers Cometto. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marcia Colet Mazey Cometto. He was a member of Christ Temple Church and was a retired engineer from INCO. He is survived by his wife, Lee Scarberry Cometto, three daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna and James "J.J." Fisher of Stafford, VA; Marlena and Michael Taylor of Huntington and Linda and Alan Maxwell of Bristow, VA; a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Kathy Cometto of Morrison, CO; and grandchildren, Michael and Jacob Fisher; Ashley, Heather, Philip, Olivia and Alex Taylor; Seth, Arleigh and A.J. Maxwell and Benjamin and Alexandria Cometto. The family would like to thank St. Mary's Medical Center, St. Mary's Home Health and Cornerstone Hospital for their excellent care of Jim.
