Danny Ray Simpson

Danny Ray Simpson, 59, of Huntington, WV, husband of Sharon Childers Simpson, passed away on Wednesday July 9, 2008 at his home. Mr. Simpson was a retired driver with USF Holland Trucking, a member of Teamsters Local 505, and attended the Fifth Avenue Freewill Baptist Church. He was also very active in the Service of Christ Ministry in Winder, GA.  He was preceded in death by his parents; James "Buddy" and Dorothy Simpson, one sister; Carol Ann Smart, and one brother; Red Simpson. In addition to his wife, Danny is survived by two sons; Danny Ray Simpson, Jr. and wife, Janet Simpson and James D. Simpson, both of Winder, GA, one daughter; Felecia Simpson of Winder, GA, three grandchildren; Caleb Ray, Faith Lynn, and Elizabeth Marie all of Winder, GA,  two brothers; James Simpson of Clarendon, TX and Bobby Simpson and wife, Janine Simpson of Techachapi Peak, CA, one sister-in-law; Patty Wells of Auburn, GA, two brothers-in-law; Kenneth Childers of Auburn, GA and Dennis Childers of Huntington, WV, and a very special friend; David Rutherford of Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Ray Vance officiating. Burial will follow at Bowen Cemetery in Lavalette, WV.
