Daniel Tim Maynard

Daniel Tim Maynard, 57 of Huntington, WV passed away Wednesday May 30, 2007 at his residence. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday, June 1st at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Father Jim Sobus officiating. Burial will follow in Community Gardens Cemetery, Wayne, WV.  He was born March 4, 1950 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Tim and Marjory Taylor Maynard. Daniel was a graduate of Marshall University School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse at Cabell Huntington Hospital for ten years and was also formerly employed by the Laborers Local Union 543. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Daniel is survived by his loving and devoted family, his wife, Kathleen McGinity Maynard; two step children, Sandra McDonald and her husband, Tim of Huntington and Dr. Gregory Akers and his wife, Susan of Springfield, IL; four grandchildren, Robert Sterling Hall, Kathleen Marie McDonald, Bradley Dalton Akers and Daniel Timothy McDonald; sisters and brothers-in-law, Opal and George Blake of South Point, OH; Annie McClure of Jefferson, GA; Connie and Ronald Jones of Huntington and Emma and Art Upchurch of Hoschton, GA;  brothers and sisters-in-law, Randale and Vivian Maynard of South Point, OH and Alvis and Clydene Maynard of Tucson, AZ; he is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Huntington or to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease) Foundation, Western PA-WV Chapter, Landmarks Building, 100 W. Station Square Dr., Suite 500, Pittsburgh, PA, 15219.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-9 PM at Beard Mortuary, a Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM.
