On April 1, 2026, Dale Staley Creasy, 82, of Huntington, West Virginia, went to be with his Savior and Lord after an extended illness. He passed just as he would have wished, beside his wife and true soulmate, Martha B. Creasy, also of Huntington. Dale and Martha were blessed with 57 years of marriage.
Dale was the son of William L and Eva Nell Creasy, of Huntington, West Virginia. He had one sibling, Rev. Keith Creasy (Virginia). Dale began working in his family’s business, Tri-State Casket Company, at a young age. He and his father later purchased the company and continued the family business. Dale’s infectious personality allowed him to create lifelong friendships with countless people in the tri-state area through his business interactions. He rarely went anywhere without running into someone he knew. He was a gentle soul with a precious sense of humor who had the gift of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. He was a longtime member of Trinity Church of God where he served in various leadership roles and sang in the choir.
Dale was preceded in death by both of his parents, his brother Keith, his sister-in-law Virginia, and his beloved great-niece Sarah Beth Napier. He is survived by a niece, Kathleen Napier (Mark); a nephew, Rev. Greg Creasy (Robin); a nephew, Charles Faulkner II; great nephews: Jeremy Napier (Sharon), Jason Napier (Casey), Justice Palmer, Blake Creasy (Megan), Luke Creasy, and Max Creasy (Ariel). In addition, Dale would have wanted to mention special friends who were family to him: Larry and Randi Butcher, Darrell and Karen Skeens, and Tara Baker. The Creasy family would like to thank nurse and special friend, Chelsia Williamson, for her exceptional care especially during recent difficult times.
Services to honor Dale’s life will be held Saturday, April 4, 2026, 2 pm, at Beard Mortuary in Huntington. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Greg Creasy will conduct the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Huntington in Dale’s memory.
