Cubie Agnes Smith

Cubie Agnes Smith, 88, of Huntington, has gone to be with her family and the Lord on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington.  Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington with the Rev. William Knight officiating.  Burial will follow in Dock's Creek Cemetery.  Cubie was born May 6, 1923 in Morrisvale, WV, a daughter of the late Elbert F. and Bessie E. Cummings Smith.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walla George Smith, Jr.; two sons-in-law, Nye King and Larry France; one sister and four brothers.  Cubie spent most of her life as a homemaker caring for her family.  She is survived by six daughters, Elizabeth (Charles) Young of Ohio, Shirlene France of Huntington, Myrlene (Daniel) Moore of Orlando, FL, Louvena King of Huntington, Georgia (Steve) Messenger of Ohio and Diana (Daniel) Workman of Huntington; one brother, Angeline; one sister, Myrlene; 21 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and all of her friends at Riverview Manor.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 28th at Beard Mortuary.  Online condolences may be conveyed to the family at www.beardmortuary.com
