Cora Lee Charter

CORA LEE CHARTER, 81, of Barboursville, wife of Richard L. Charter, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born on June 13, 1928 in McAndrews, KY, a daughter of the late Roy and Dora Hackney Alexander. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death one sister, Helen Khoury. She is survived by one son, Richard L. (Nancy) Charter II; two daughters, Cathy (Stephen) Lloyd of Lexington, SC and Candace (Wes) Taylor of Chapin, SC; six grandchildren, Allison Ergle, Gregory Charter, Marc Charter, Kimberly Charter, Alexander Taylor and Adam Taylor; one great-grandchild, Sophia Ergle. Mrs. Charter was a member of the Church in the Valley in Milton and was a retired nurse. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Andy Conner officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Huntington. Friends may call at the mortuary one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the Church in the Valley, 1173 James River Turnpike, Milton, WV 25541.
