Christopher Dean Eckert

CHRISTOPHER DEAN ECKERT, 44, of Culloden passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015. He was born on May 2, 1971 in Huntington, a son of Richard Eckert and Sue Ann (Barker) Duna. In addition to his parents he is survived by his fiancé, April Keaton and her children Shelby, Chandler and Jarrett Keaton; a son, Masahiro Christopher Eckert of Washington State; siblings, Bryan (Secret) Eckert, Jennifer (Mark) Majher, Danny Eckert and John Duna Jr., all of South Point, OH; stepmother, Sara Eckert; stepfather, John Duna Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Christopher was a proud retired veteran of the United States Navy, serving his country for twenty years and currently an employee of the State of West Virginia. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Paul Michael Booth officiating. Burial will follow at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, WV. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 PM at the mortuary.
