Charles K. Via, 86, of Huntington passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Mildred Wingfield Via; three sisters; and three brothers. He is survived by two daughters, Karen Duke of Huntington, WV and Susan Scifres of Clearwater, FL; and one sister, Ruth (Elson) Marks of Houston, TX. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary in Huntington, WV with Rev. Dr. Rick Ray officiating and special speaker O.K. McCallister. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, WV. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family suggests that those who wish may make memorial contributions in honor of Charles to the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV.
