Charles Robert Hartley

Charles Robert Hartley, 71, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Cornerstone Hospital of Huntington.  Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Frederick Kitchen officiating.  He was born September 7, 1936 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Clyde and Opal Riggs Hartley.  Mr. Hartley was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from Artistech Chemicals after 40 years of employment.  He was also a member of the VFW Post 9738 and the American Legion Post 16, and the United Steel Workers Local 721.  He is survived by one daughter, Deborah Jean Fogus of Huntington; one grandson, Ronald Lykins III; two granddaughters, Andrea Lykins and Crystal Rice; one sister-in-law and son-in-law, Sue and Paul Davis; special friends, Christine Blankenship of NC, Marilyn Adkins of Huntington, Ronald Kelley of Chesapeake, OH, and his dog Blackie.
