CATHRYN BLAIN McQUAIDE, age 85, of Huntington, went to be with the lord on Friday, July 30, 2010 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington conducted by Minister Alan Cole. Cathryn was born on July 2, 1925 in Plain City, OH, a daughter of the late Fonnie and Effie Austin Blain. She worked at Inco Alloy for 35 years. Her only surviving sister is Betty Blain Holland. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Carlton McQuaide; two sisters, Lorina Blain and Evelyn Gilbreath; and one brother, Reed Blain. In addition to her sister, she is survived by two nephews Leroy Holland of Huntington and Everett Holland of Huntington; one niece, Martha Kouns of Ashland, Ky. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Church of Christ or Hospice of Huntington. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Beard Mortuary, Huntington.
