Catherine Bartels Clark 91 of Huntington, WV died Thursday October 13, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Hospice House. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Jeffrey P. Wick officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. She was born Nov. 1, 1919 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Eric W. and Cora Neuner Bartels. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank D. Clark, and two sisters, Marie Bartels and Norma Brooks. She attended Enslow Jr. High and was awarded the D.A.R. Citizenship Award, Huntington High School and graduated from Marshall University in 1942 with degrees in Home Economics and Science. She belonged to the Kappa Omicron Phi sorority and Home Economics Club. She retired in 1976 with 30 years of service in Enslow Junior High School (Cabell County Board of Education). She was confirmed in St. Paul Lutheran Church on April 9, 1933 and was active in St. Paul Lutheran Church. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry B. and Dee Clark of Columbus, Oh and Sid and Arlene Clark of Lancaster, OH; grandsons and wives, Jeffery B. Clark and Holly and son of Canal Winchester, OH and Steven L. Clark and Nancy and children of O'Fallon, MO, several nieces and nephews and her friends at the Woodlands. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church 721 12th Ave. Huntington, WV 25701 or to Hospice of Huntington.
